The short version
You can read every edition without an account and without being tracked by advertising networks. If you create an account we keep what is needed to run it — your email, your settings, what you saved and which editions you opened — and nothing else.
What we collect
- Account: email address, optional display name, time zone and email preferences.
- Reading tools: editions you save and editions you open while signed in (to show your history).
- Billing (Pro): handled by RevenueCat Web Billing (cards processed by Stripe). We store your subscription status and renewal date, never card details.
- Technical: standard server logs (IP address, user agent, time) kept for security and debugging.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies (the sign-in session) and local storage for an anonymous reader id (reactions), your last-visited edition (“since your last visit”) and, when signed out, your asset list. No advertising or cross-site tracking.
Processors
- Supabase — database and authentication.
- RevenueCat and Stripe — subscriptions and payments.
- Render — hosting.
- Publisher favicons on source links are loaded from DuckDuckGo's icon service without a referrer.
Your rights
You can export or correct your data by writing to us, and you can delete your account at any time from Account → Security, which removes your profile, saved editions and history immediately. Cancel a Pro subscription first under Plan & billing.
